Here we go Brown Street, here we go!

Those who sow in tears will reap with songs of joy. He who goes out weeping, carrying seed to sow, will return with songs of joy, carrying sheaves with him. -- Psalm 126:5-6

We have been talking quite a bit the last couple months about reaching out for Christ (262 evangelism, etc.). These verses really hit me. I have to ask myself and you all, how deeply do we care about the lost around us? When we think of people dying in sin (like we read in John 8 last week), it has to touch us (even to the point of tears), and move us to show and tell them about Christ. So when we pray about "the empty chairs" and such, we're not praying to have a bigger group just to have a bigger group -- we're praying for the chance to change someone's eternity for the good -- Heaven! I believe that these verses promise us that we will rejoice to see people saved in our midst if we pray hard and sow often. Let's go, BSBC Youth!!

P.S. This is the same post as a couple days ago, but I deleted and re-published it to try to get rid of the vile comments. It's a high-tech, low-life cyber-world and real world we live in!! But Christ gives the victory!!

  • i've been so burdened this year with how much we need to activly pursue reaching the lost for Christ.. thru the ministry i did at Cedarville God really showed me that it was possible to love even the strangers that i come into contact with. It is such an encouragement to come home and see that same fire in the hearts of the teens.. rock on bsbciers!
