Passion of the Christ
Hi, my name is Elizabeth. I attend the Brown Street Youth Group. Let me just start out by saying I love it!!! The leaders are so awesome and the fellowship is really good. I can't wait until Sundays and Wednesdays now.
We recently saw "The Passion Of The Christ" during a coffee house. Here is my testimony on the film, since that was the first time I had seen it. I posted it to my own blog and thought I would share it here...

"I recently saw the this movie [The Passion of the Christ] and can not even begin in explain to you the great impact it had on me. I remember in Sunday school how my teachers would tell us that Jesus died on the cross to take away our sins. I always knew that it was really painful and that He suffered a lot. I mean, sure, we had flannel graphs and "Resurection Eggs" to help us understand, but I just thought "Wow, glad that He loved me enough to go through that torture for me" That was when torture wasn't the key word.
The movie makers did a good job of making this movie as good as possible, but they couldn't even touch how grusome and horrible it was. It was infinity times worse. And not just physically by mentally. God poured out all His wrath on Jesus and it pleased Him to bruise His son. God turned his back on Jesus and He was forsaken by His father. I can't even begin to fathom the pain Jesus went through on the cross.
Through out all the time I saw Jesus being tortured, the thing that made me go into tears was just thinking that He did that just so that I could live with Him in Heaven. I got to thinking that I disobey for the dumbest things and reasons, which added to the pain he went through. It made me feel guilty that I am so caught up in what I want to do, I forget that I am hurting others.
I encourage you if you have not seen this movie to go and rent it. Or, read the Bible, it is more edifying. But, of course, it is good to see it with your eyes once in awhile."
